Operation Homefront Spreads Holiday Cheer to Military Families at the Homefront

HONOLULU, HAWAII - Santa Claus will bring lots of toys and gifts for girls and boys at Operation Homefront of Hawaii’s Holiday Military Family Event at Oahu Veterans Center on Saturday, December 13, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. This is morale program that is free to military families in need of holiday cheer.

Event sponsors are Actus Lend Lease, L&L Hawaiian Barbecue, Menehune Water Company, Pepsi Cola, SunnyDay Subs, and Airgas. Diamond Head Self Storage provided free facilities for all in-coming gift donations for the event.

Airgas CEO Peter McCausland part of $2M gift to Seaport Museum

Independence Seaport Museum in Philadelphia received a gift of $2 million, it said Wednesday.

The gift was split between philanthropist H.F. “Gerry” Lenfest and his wife Marguerite, and Peter McCausland, chairman and CEO of Airgas Inc., and his wife Bonnie.

Each couple will donate $1 million over three years. Funds will be earmarked for the endowment and programming for the museum’s 50th anniversary, in 2010.

Airgas Completes Acquisition of Gordon Woods Industrial Welding Supply, Inc., and TexAir Welding Supply, Ltd.

RADNOR, PA - December 1, 2008 - Airgas, Inc. (NYSE: ARG) today announced that it has completed the acquisition of Gordon Woods Industrial Welding Supply, Inc., Accu Air Gases & Equipment, LP and Summit Gas & Gear, LP. The three companies are related but separately managed industrial gas and welding supply distributorships with combined annual revenues of $25 million through 10 locations in southern California. All three businesses are now part of the Airgas West regional company.
