Mid South Branch Move
Airgas Mid South Location F19 has moved. The new address is 4221 Oklahoma Ave. Woodward, OK 73801. The phone and fax numbers will still remain the same.

Hawaii’s only commercial hydrogen production plant has gone into operation in Kapolei.
Airgas Gaspro, Inc. said the plant was commissioned in May and that a blessing will be held for the facility on Thursday.

Teachers expand knowledge at LCC workshop
More than 15 high school instructors from 12 surrounding counties attended a Lenoir Community College GTAW (TIG) welding workshop recently held by the LCC Welding Department.
The instructors received training in the GTAW (TIG) process, safety procedures, the use and function of equipment.
The workshop was made possible through the efforts of several instructors - Kevin Schaffer of Lincoln Electric, Ed Dougherty of Miller Welding, Tim Wimbash of Airgas National Welders and Mike Spain of Machine and Welding.

Airgas Offers Free Welding Course To Veterans
Not only has Airgas commited to offering a free course in welding to our veterans, they have set a goal of hiring 100 veterans of OEF and OIF within the next year! They also have agreed to donate money to Operation Homefront over the course of the next three years, with 70% of their donation being directed towards projects to assist wounded soldiers.

Pueblo Community College Mobile Learning Lab Developed
The mobile lab concept was developed out of necessity for additional lab space to deliver training in the welding and other hands on technical courses supporting the manufacturing and industrial sector.
The Mobile Learning Lab can be transported to virtually any company or organization in Colorado and the surrounding regions to deliver customized, high-quality training.

South Bend County Approves Water Line for New Airgas Plant
South Bend county's Redevelopment Commission approved an appropriation Thursday to spend up to $450,000 to extend a water line to the new Airgas Inc. plant near New Carlisle.
The $34.5 million Airgas plant being built near New Carlisle is to be finished in 2009. It will be capable of separating nitrogen, oxygen and argon, and will have a pipeline to supply industrial gases to the nearby I/N Tek and I/N Kote steel plants.

Airgas Gaspro helping Hawaiians Monitor and Improve Sulfur Dioxide Levels
Public health officials are working to fill in the gaps in notifying the public about hazardous levels of sulfur dioxide from Kilauea. The schools most vulnerable to sulfur dioxide received new monitors Thursday, courtesy of Hawaii County.
The state Department of Health also is working to beef up the existing network of vog and sulfur dioxide monitors, setting up a new telephone hotline and revising the current alert scheme.
Mayor Harry Kim green-lighted the Fire Department's purchase of the 60 sulfur dioxide monitors, at a cost of $19,200. The contract includes staff training, calibration and maintenance provided by Airgas Gaspro.

The nonprofit organization is now collecting new school supplies for children of all ages to save low-income military families a major expense. Airgas Completes Acquisition of Refron
RADNOR, PA – August 1, 2008 – Airgas, Inc. (NYSE: ARG) today announced it has completed the acquisition of the assets and operations of Refron, Inc. effective at the close of business on July 31, 2008. Refron, a nationwide reseller and distributor of refrigerants that also provides technical services and refrigerant reclamation services, generated $93 million in revenues in 2007.
