Airgas co-sponsored off-road team in sole position of first place in WSORR PRO-2WD championship.

Driver Dan Vanden Heuvel Sr., of the Airgas co-sponsored Flying Dutchmen Off-Road race team, swept rounds VII and VIII on Friday and Saturday rerspectively.

After eight rounds of racing, Dan Vanden Heuvel Sr. continues to lead the 2008 WSORR PRO-2WD championship. The next race is the Island Casino/Boss Snow Off-Road Challenge II, in Bark River, Michigan, August 16 & 17.

Airgas Names Andy Cichocki Division President; Steve Marinelli President of Airgas National Welders

RADNOR, PA – July 16, 2008 – Airgas, Inc. (NYSE: ARG) today announced that Andy Cichocki has been named a division president of Airgas and Steve Marinelli has been promoted to succeed Cichocki as president of Airgas National Welders, a former Airgas joint venture partner which became a wholly owned subsidiary of Airgas a year ago.

Cichocki’s division includes Airgas Carbonic, Airgas Dry Ice and Airgas National Welders. The move is part of the planned retirement transition for Ted Schulte, current division president of Airgas Gas Operations who will continue to direct Airgas Specialty Products, Airgas Nitrous Oxide and the newly formed Airgas Refrigerants until his retirement in the summer of 2009.

Airgas to Build 450 tpd Liquid Carbon Dioxide Plant at FUEL ethanol plant near Camilla, GA

RADNOR, PA – July 9, 2008 – Airgas, Inc. (NYSE: ARG) today announced that it will build a new 450-ton-per-day liquid carbon dioxide plant at the First United Ethanol LLC, (FUEL) complex in Camilla, GA. Airgas entered into a 15-year agreement with FUEL, which will supply the feedstock of raw carbon dioxide for the Airgas facility.

(NYSE: ARG) today announced that effective at the close of business on July 1, 2008, it has completed the acquisition of Energy Safety Services Incorporated, doing business as Oilind Safety. The business, a leading U.S. provider of rental safety equipment and safety services, generated about $21 million in revenues in 2007.

America Supports You: Airgas, Operation Homefront Bond to Help Vets

WASHINGTON, July 14, 2008 - In the next three years, an untold number of veterans of the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan will benefit from a new partnership between two organizations who share only geographic proximity and a desire to honor servicemembers.

Airgas, a distributor of industrial, medical, specialty gases, and welding and safety products, recently launched what its chairman and chief executive officer described as a long-term program.

"We're kicking off a three-year program the way we look at it," Peter McCausland said, "but we're thinking that it's going to be a long-term program for Airgas."

The program began with Airgas' pledge to donate $100,000 a year for three years to Operation Homefront, a troop-support organization. The guidelines for the use of the funding stipulate that 70 percent of the funds must directly benefit wounded veterans or their families, McCausland said.
